Witnesses Sought After Stockport Three-Car Collision

Police have launched an investigation following a three car road accident in Stockport. One of the vehicles was left on its roof after the incident whic happened  outside the Salvation Army on Stockport Road, Cheadle Heath , on Monday at 7.15pm.

A silver Citroen C4 collided with two parked cars and landed upside down but the male driver managed to escape with only minor injuries.

He was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics and breathalysed.

The two parked cars involved were a black Mercedes and a silver Volkswagen Polo.

Firefighters from King Street and Cheadle fire stations were also called to the scene and helped deal with the accident’s aftermath.

It was feared the driver may need cutting free from the Citroen but he was out when emergency services arrived.

A police spokesman confirmed that officers were called to the incident and were now investigating.
