Rain Fails to Dampen Spirits at Bramhall Golf Club President’s Ladies Day

Despite a downpour, the unseasonal weather conditions didn’t spoil President’s ladies Day at Bramhall Gold Club

The day started with the first ladies teeing off at 8.00am. The President enjoyed welcoming the ladies to the tee and a few laughs were had on the way. The President then welcomed the Bridge Ladies and following the Bridge they sat down to afternoon tea. The Winner of the Bridge was Betty Harrison and Runner Up was Mary Greer.

In the evening 82 Ladies and a few gentlemen attended the Presentation. We had a surprise guest, as at very short notice (I only spoke to her at 4:30pm) Bronte Law joined us. Lady Captain introduced The President with an interesting short history of his time at the club. The President presented the prizes. A lovely meal prepared by Adam and his team followed and again a lot of laughs and great fun. The prize winners were as follows:-

Presidents Prize – Katie Marriott
Runner Up – Chris Kelly (A particularly poignant moment as Chris was Lady Captain when Howard was Captain)
Division 1 Winner – Colette Bryant
Division 2 Winner – Wenche Penny
Division 3 Winner – Claudia Cresswell
Division 4 Winner – Rosa Sheard
9 Hole Winner – Joyce Mason
9 Hole Runner Up – Marilyn Kershaw
Best Gross – Caroline McGeorge
Nearest The Pin – Vicky Clewley
Nearest The Line – Gill Gee
