Pedestrian Hurt In Cheadle Car Crash


A pedestrian was hit by a car following a two car collision close to the Gatley lights on Kingsway, Cheadle.
A police spokesman confirmed that officers were called at 7.45pm to reports of a collision involving two cars and a pedestrian where one of the vehicles also struck a lamp post.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing three police cars, two ambulances and a fire crew at the scene shortly after 8pm.
A female pedestrian was checked over by paramedics for minor injuries she suffered in the incident
One of the vehicles was travelling on the A34 southbound from Didsbury towards Cheadle Royal and the other was crossing the junction from Gatley to Cheadle village.
Lots of oil was spilled onto the junction during the incident and roads were briefly blocked. All lanes were open at 8.15pm, the police spokesman added.
