Man Falls to his Death From Cheadle Hulme Bridge


A man has died after falling from a bridge in Cheadle Hulme .
Emergency services were called to Ladybridge Road just before 8.30pm on Thursday February 15 following reports that a person had fallen from the railway bridge.
When officers arrived they discovered a man, believed to be in his 30s. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses report seeing a large number of emergency vehicles close by to the Seven Arches over Ladybrook, which connects with the River Mersey.
A Police spokesman said: “At around 8.25pm on Thursday, police were called to Ladybridge Road, Stockport to reports that a man had fallen from a railway bridge.
“Emergency services attended and a man believed to be in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.”
