Lady Barn House School Glitter Ball Raises Over £8000

SM55-08-02

Lady Barn House School parents danced through the night at a glamorous Glitter Ball at the Mere Golf Resort and Spa.
Over £8,000 was raised for special projects for the Cheadle school, now the largest independent coeducational preparatory school in the North.
Everything sparkled on a night dedicated to dance with themes ranging from the Jitterbug, Grease Lightening to A Ten from Len.
A fabulous selection of prizes and the opportunity for a pupil to be the Headteacher for the day ensured the donations continued through the night. Part of the funds raised by The Parents Teachers Association will buy video cameras, playground equipment with a special budget for the School Council and Year Six to participate in a young enterprise scheme selling school merchandise.
Headmaster Mark Turner said: “A strong bond between parents and teachers is at the heart of a happy and successful school in which the children realise their full potential.”
