Hazel Grove Sports Centre Goes “BLIND”

02

The Royal National Institute for the Blind ran a series of events throughout November, aimed at raising awareness and crucial funding, to assist the 2 million people in the UK currently living with some form of sight loss.
Hazel Grove Sports Centre and Michelle from Buff and Bendy –  decided to host Yoga In the Dark, to raise awareness of this issue in the local community via their yoga members.
Students were blindfolded throughout the 1 hour class, and  experienced breathing exercises, meditation, yoga postures and deep relaxation without the use of their sight.
This helped change their experience completely!
The practice concluded with a gratitude prayer and cheeky bit of blind chocolate tasting!
Michelle from www.buffandbendy.co.uk said: “I couldn’t wait to host the event and am looking forward to the feedback already!”
