Cycling Trio Complete Charity Challenge

Cycling enthusiasts from a Stockport car dealer have completed The Christie’s Manchester to Blackpool bike ride.

West Way Nissan employees Adam Riley, 35, Alan Spragg, 40, and Graham Kiernan, 33, took part in the national event which started from the Imperial War Museum on Salford Quays and finished 60 miles away on Blackpool’s South Promenade.
They joined thousands of other riders on the day and completed the feat in four hours and forty minutes, raising £400 for the event’s chosen charity The Christie, one of Europe’s leading cancer centres who help provide inspiration and hope to cancer patients and their families.
Adam, the dealership’s Service Manager, said: “We’re all pretty keen on cycling and had done the night time event last year which we really enjoyed so we wanted to do the daytime ride and see how it compared.
“We all try and cycle to work at least once a week and it was a challenge with all the steep inclines of the hills but it was great combining something we love doing with raising money for such a worthy cause.”
The scenic route took in the rolling hills of the Lancashire countryside, going through Leigh, Wigan, Preston and Worton before reaching the seaside destination of Blackpool.
