Council hope Fred Perry House redesign will make life easier

Stockport Council have redesigned Fred Perry House in a move to make it easier to access their services.
The old fashioned reception desk and ticket queuing system have been replaced with a modern new look including a self-service check-in, contemporary waiting area and 16 brand new customer computers and tablets.
Laureen Donnan, Deputy Chief Executive at Stockport Council said: “The redesign has been implemented with customers in mind to make it quicker and easier for them to access information about Council services. In addition we have trained our staff to assist residents in accessing our services online, using new tablets and touch screen computers. The whole reception area has now been transformed into a more welcoming space that supports and encourages people to go online.”
