Changing of the Guard at Bramall Park Golf Club

Three new Captains and a new President have been appointed at Bramall Park Golf Club to serve for the year 2017.

The new senior officers of the club take up their roles within a new governance structure, with a Board of Directors led by Chairman John Reid, himself a former President of the club.
Favoured by many other forward thinking clubs in the U.K., the new structure will allow the Board to oversee the running of the club, leaving the newly appointed Captains to focus on the golfing activities.
Chairman John Reid commented: “It is a great way forward for the club which will benefit us all”.
New Men’s Captain Roger Souter, said “It’s the perfect time to be taking on the role and I know that we are all looking to play our part in driving this club forward and making it one of the best run in the County”.
Roger went on to say “Bramall Park is a fantastic club with one of the best courses around, and is also one of the friendliest.”
“The roles for me, Francesca and Tim will be to continue the great traditions of the club as well as looking at how we keep the wonderful game of golf fresh and forward-looking for existing and new members. “
Many exciting developments on the course and in the clubhouse are currently underway, including the refurbishment of the south- facing balcony, which gives members and visitors a bird’s eye view of the beautiful course.
The club has a thriving membership made up of Men’s, Ladies, & Junior sections and boasts an excellent team of PGA teaching professionals headed by Craig Daggitt.
