Bramhall Library has announced extended opening hours following a recent Open+ event which introduced the self-service library system that also aims to increase access for the community.
The launch event was very well attended, with local residents registering to use the library outside of normal opening hours.
The extended opening hours will give residents access to library materials, public computers, wireless internet facilities, and creative spaces.
Councillor Shan Alexander, Stockport Council’s Executive Member of Safe & Resilient Communities, said: “Open+ technology has enabled us to extend the opening hours at Bramhall library in the evenings and on a Wednesday. It’s great to be able to offer people wider access to the library through the use of this technology.”
