The bus is on it's way

BATTLE BUS ON THE MARCH
With over 114,000 supporters nationwide, a highly visible campaign in Cheadle and Hazel Grove, and 19 Stockport Councillors supporting the campaign for a referendum The People’s Pledge Battle Bus is coming to meet you. It has already visited several areas. A spokesperson commented ‘The bus increases a further awareness of our campaign and helps to show local MPs Mark Hunter Cheadle and Andrew Stunell Hazel Grove that they cannot ignore the people’s desire for a referendum or The People’s Pledge’s campaign. Neither Andrew Stunnel nor Mark Hunter has responded to our requests for a debate, when we asked them to name the date, time and location convenient for them, and offered to pay all the costs.’

Earlier this year when The People’s Pledge was holding a referendum in Thurrock we had a huge response from the residents and both the local and national press to the Battle Bus. The event raised awareness of the campaign and those supporting it.

The People’s Pledge is currently running local ballots asking voters in Cheadle and Hazel Grove if they support a referendum on Britain’s membership of the European Union. ‘The seats, both in Stockport, have responded well to the campaign and thousands have signed up plus 19 of their councillors have already declared their support. This cross party campaign is showing that whichever side of the debate you are on, democracy is the most important thing.’ concluded the spokesperson
